PLA is the abbreviation for Prior Learning Assesment. It means that Lone Star College System can grant you college credit for work you've done before you enrolled in our district.
This is different from transferring another college course. PLA is for work completed outside of a classroom. This can be in the form of:
- exams
- license
- portfolio
- military
- continuing education
