Center for Teaching & Distance LearningProfessional Development Resources available to NHMCCD employees. District Services & Training Center Divisions Business Affairs Organized under the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs/Chief Financial Officer, this division provides leadership and direction for the following departments: Accounting, Budgets, Facilities and Construction Management, Finance and Treasury, Food Service, Grants Administration, Internal Audit, Payroll, and Purchasing. Chancellor's Office The Chancellor is the chief executive officer of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District and is charged with carrying out the policies and procedures of the Board of Trustees. Education, Student & Community Development This department provides oversight and coordination for a wide variety of district initiatives in instruction, student services, and community education under the leadership of the Executive Vice Chancellor, Associate Vice Chancellors, District Directors, Program Managers, and their professional staff. These offices include curriculum and instruction, distance learning, student services, institutional effectiveness, financial aid, police services, health programs, student disabilities, workforce programs, community education, articulation services, international programs and services and The University Center. ESCD works closely with NHMCCD colleges in a collaborative and consensus model, and seeks to provide services and facilitate activities that promote consistency, equity, and communication between the faculty, staff, and administrators at the colleges, and the students and community served by the district. External Affairs The External Affairs division facilitates the distribution of internal and external public information, the acquisition of district financial grants and resources, the promotion of community economic development, and provides support in the development of community, student, and workforce leaders. External Affairs is the communication liaison among the district’s students, employees, community employers and chambers of commerce, independent school districts, and elected officials. Telecommunications & Information Systems Office of the Vice Chancellor for Telecommunications and Information Systems is responsible for the overall secure, operational and responsive information system for district wide accounting and student records as well as a stable infrastructure to support district wide electronic mail, Internet access and inter-library connectivity.
