The program prepares the student for a career as a welding technician in the fabrication, construction and manufacturing industries. The student is exposed to basic metallurgy and inspection procedures.

The graduate will be prepared for entry-level employment as a structural welder learning essential skills and safety practices in welding procedures in both structural plate and pipe.

Nondestructive inspection trains students in entry level skills relevant to such industries as shipbuilding, aeronautic, piping and vessel fabrication, bridge, building and residential construction.
