The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department at North Harris College is the gateway to high-demand, rewarding careers applying GIS in industry, business, research and government. GIS is the management, analysis, and visualization of spatial or geographic data.
The GIS program offers a GIS Technicians Certificate, a GIS Analyst Certificate, and a GIS Associate of Applied Science. These programs are taught in a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with industry standard GIS and Image Analysis software by faculty with extensive industry experience.
Our graduates gain the knowledge and skills to work as GIS professionals in a wide range of fields or as a GIS compliment to existing training and experience.
