Suzannah Moorman, soprano, is new this fall to the music faculty here at North Harris College. She has presented numerous recitals and sacred music

Suzannah Moorman, soprano, is new this fall to the music faculty here at North Harris College. She has presented numerous recitals and sacred music program in her 23-year career, singing throughout Texas, the Midwest and Southern U.S., as well as in England and The Republic of Singapore.

She has appeared as guest soloist with Baytown Symphony Orchestra, San Jacinto College Choral, Sons of Orpheaus, Opera Rediviva, and for various opera gala events, including the opening of Opera in the Heights, Houston. In 2004 she was a semi-finalist for the Lotte Lehmann Foundation’s Art song competition, "Cybersing."

Suzannah has been a featured singer on "Time that Makes the Difference," a televised production of The United Methodist Hour, sponsored by the Mississippi Annual Conference and has sung in worship at the Mississippi and Texas Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church. She has produced 3 CDs of hymns and sacred songs: Behold Him, Great Wesley Hymns, and Words of Life.

Suzannah enjoys singing for retirees and has performed regularly at The Forum retirement homes in Dallas and Houston, as well as for organizations in many local churches. She teaches private piano and voice and continues her own study with her beloved teacher of 17 years, Master Teacher Lois Alba.

Suzannah holds a BA in Church Music from Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi, and Master of Music and Master of Sacred Music degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
