James L. Mena is the UTEAP Manager of Clinical Operations. He has extensive experience in screening and evaluating clients suffering mental health, substance abuse, sexual compulsions and crisis intervention. He is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) and has superior knowledge in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of problems including the dually diagnosed. James has a range of psychotherapeutic counseling skills that enable him to treat individuals, couples and families in need of assistance.
He is bilingual and is sensitive to multi-cultural issues, which enables him to service a large range of clients. James is an experienced speaker and is adequately qualified to speak on topics including, but certainly not limited to, “Cultural Diversity,” “Conflict Resolution,” “Alcohol/ Drug Awareness” and others.
James holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Psychology from West Georgia College.
