TheLibrary Catalog can provide information on the use of existing titles to determine demand for a topic.

    New Book Requests
    Contact: Reference Desk - 281-618-5707
A representative from each division should be responsible for collecting library purchase requests for that division. Also a librarian is assigned to coordinate various library functions with each division. Each division is allotted a portion of the library materials budget for new acquisitions. The ordering cycle begins in September and ends in February. Requests made after February may be held until funds become available at the beginning of the new academic year.
The library receives CHOICE book review cards that are distributed to divisions for review and purchase. Librarians will refer other items of interest from review journals or publishers catalogs to specific faculty members. Please return faculty book selection cards and other purchase suggestions to the librarian assigned to your division. Books are ordered on a regular basis, After book orders are processed, please allow several weeks for receipt of new books. Currently, a new book section is provided for patron review near the pleasure reading collection on the 2nd floor. Also, a selected new library materials list is distributed each month via e-mail.
