The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is operated exclusively for the benefit of the college district. In addition to fundraising to support the district’s students, programs, and faculty, the Foundation seeks to heighten community awareness of the mission and accomplishments of the NHMCCD.
The Foundation was created to support the goals and values of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District. We are located in the northern region of Houston, Texas. The Foundation looks to you, our community, to help provide scholarships and specialized college resources to improve educational opportunities for the people in our area.
Did you know...
- In the past year, endowments and scholarships with the NHMCCD Foundation were established by:
- individuals
- large and small corporations
- small businesses
- civic organizations
- chambers of commerce
- Nearly 400 students currently receive scholarships through the NHMCCD Foundation.
- $350,000 in direct grants were distributed among the five NHMCCD colleges.
- East Montgomery County Improvement District assures New Caney and Splendora ISD graduates a scholarship of $1,000 to attend any NHMCCD college.
- Aldine Scholarship Fund provides graduates of Aldine ISD $1,000 in scholarship money to enroll in our community colleges.
These are just a few ways we are making a difference in Harris and Montgomery counties.
