Purposeful multimedia in an online course can engage students by eliciting active participation and aid in the learning process by addressing different styles of learning.  This workshop dispels apprehension about abilities to use multimedia as well as presents useful information about its creation and integration in the online classroom.

• Identify instructional purposes for multimedia to an online course.
• Realize the ease with which simple multimedia can be integrated into an online environment.
• Gain a working knowledge of ways to address the American Disabilities Act compliance in online instruction.
• Learn of available software editing programs and free alternatives to get started.
