Description: Different methods can be used to assess student learning. In addition to discussing alternative assessment methods, this workshop also covers available assessment tools for enabling students to self assess their learning. The participant will be able to:

• Discuss how alternative assessments can be used in a specific online course.
• Begin plans for creating grading rubrics
• Realize where to locate tools for creating assessments
