Executive Council, comprised of the chancellor, vice chancellors and college presidents, guides the district towards reaching its mission and goals.
Dr. David Sam – President, North Harris CollegeDr. David Sam has served as the President of North Harris College since August 2000. In his role as the College's chief administrative officer, he heads the largest of the five colleges in the North Harris Montgomery Community College District. Currently Dr. Sam is serving on the Junior League of North Harris County, Inc. Community Advisory Board, the Boards of the Northwest Assistance Ministries, North Houston Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce, Leadership North Houston, Mexican Institute of Greater Houston, Inc., and the Aldine-Greenspoint YMCA. He also serves on the American Association of Community College's Commission on Global Education.
Dr. Ray Hawkins– President,
Tomball College
Dr. Raymond Hawkins has over 30 years of higher education experience, including 14 years as President of Tyler Junior College. He earned a Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin. His experience includes five years teaching and ten years in academic leadership positions prior to his appointment as President of Tyler Junior College in 1981.
Dr. Tom Butler – President,
Montgomery College
In September 2002, Dr. Thomas Butler became the second president in Montgomery College's seven-year history. Butler, who was formerly the provost (campus chief executive officer) of the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC), was selected by Dr. John Pickelman after a comprehensive national search and interview process.
