The Criminal Justice Program at North Harris College offers academic courses in criminal justice that have been approved by the Texas Coordinating Board of Higher Education to transfer to all public colleges and universities in Texas that have criminal justice programs. Criminal Justice courses are offered during the day and evening on the NHC main campus and the Carver and Parkway Centers on a rotating basis. Two of the Criminal Justice courses offered in the District (CRIJ 1301 Introduction to Criminal Justice and CRIJ 1307 Crime in America) may be taken to meet the requirement for the Social and Behavioral Sciences course for the Associate of Arts Degree. The NHC Criminal Justice Student Association is engaged in numerous activities including field trips, sponsoring the Annual Criminal Justice Day, presenting speakers, and being actively involved in the extensive student activities on the NHC campuses.
