Scholarships for the Pre-professional Program for the Medical and Health Sciences

VALUE $400 per semester for payment of tuition, fees and books at North Harris College. This amount is renewable the following semester, provided the student remains in the program with satisfactory performance. This would total $800 per year for the fall and spring semesters.

Criteria for Eligibility

• High school graduate of Aldine, Klein, or Spring ISD (two recipients from each school will be selected)
  
• Enroll at North Harris College for at least 12 college credit hours for fall and spring semesters in the Pre-professional Program
  
• Attempt one honors contract each semester
  
• Write a one-page essay
• Meet one of the following academic criteria:
  
  • Score at least 1100 on the SAT
    
  • Score at least 23 composite on the ACT
    
  • A senior year curriculum that is rigorous and with an acceptable schedule of classes and grades.

Deadline for Application

Applicants must complete applications for admission to the Pre-professional Program and for the Pre-professional Scholarship by April 15. Awards will be announced at the North Harris College Honors Day (during the first week of May).
