This test is given to those who prefer a pencil and paper test. Placement test for students who has English as their second language. For test dates and registration please call the Language Center at 281.618.5744. Approximately 2 hours is needed to take this test.

The Comprehensive English Test (CELT) is given to those students whose native language is not English. In order to provide you with the best opportunity to achieve your academic or vocational goals and to place you in the proper English, academic or technical courses, it will be necessary for your to take the CELT test. The CELT test includes listening, structure and vocabulary skills. A departmental writing sample is also given to determine final placement.
