Driver Training, Permit A Certificate
This course provides the graduate with the basic knowledge and skills to pass the Commercial Driver's License, Permit A, knowledge and skills test, which includes pre-trip inspection, basic controls skills test, and road test. The purpose of the CDL is to certify basic skills in actually operating a commercial vehicle. Student is required to pass a Federal Department of Transportation physicl and NIDA drug screen. License fees are not included in the cost of the course. Students are subject to an extensive background and driving record check. Trucking Skills: Progressive Shifting
This course will provide the student with hands-on training to master the skill of progressive shifting, shifting before reaching the maximum governed rotations per minute (rpm). This skill allows the driver to take the most advantage of the engine's power and saves fuel at the same time.
