GTTC Capacity
The GTTC is currently functioning at 100% capacity in the new UNIX computer laboratory. The original lab is in urgent need of upgrading to meet the hardware and software requirements of the latest geological and geophysical interpretation and evaluation applications. There are continuing requests from industry and from the geoscience population for additional expanded areas of software training . However, because of lack of financing the laboratory is unable to grow to meet the hardware requirements necessary to support public and industry demand. The geoscience societies are responding to GTTC needs, but industry and community support is also needed.
