Sentence Fragments give the reader
only part of a complete thought or sentence.
There are two major types of sentence fragments.
Dependent
Clause Fragments place a
subordinating conjunction in front of what would be a complete sentence.
Examples: I made a “D” in that
class. Although I came to class every day.
I jumped for joy; because I was happy.
I decided to cut class. Since it was
such a beautiful day.
