Subject-Verb
Agreement
Subjects must agree with their verbs in
number (singular vs. plural). Confusion arises
because the third person singular of verbs normally adds an
inflectional –s, and, as we all
know, an –s is added to nouns that are
plural. For example:
I work We work
You work You
work
He, she, it works They work
boy boys
girl girls
book books
