PRINTING AN ENVELOPE IN MS WORD
WARNING:
I. Be sure that you have a heavy, good quality envelope that will not be destroyed by the printer.
II. Print envelopes only when your class is in the lab! If you try to print an envelope in the open lab, you
may lose your work and create havoc in the print queue.
Performance Instructions
1. Open MS Word by clicking on the Word icon at the top of the screen.
2. Open Tools and click on Envelopes and Labels.
3. Click on the Envelopes tab if it is not already in front.
4. Click in the Delivery Address Window and type the address of the recipient.
5. Click in the Return Address Window and type in your return address. (If there is a return address already in the window, select it and delete it.)
You are now ready to print your envelope!
6. Note the orientation of the envelope in the Feed Window on the right side of the screen.
7. Click on Print.
8. If a window comes up asking you if you wish to save the new return address, click on no.
Now go to the printer.
8. Pull the Paper Feed Drawer slightly open.
9. With your finger, push the top of the front central panel. The Manual Feeder Tray should pop open.
10. Place your envelope, flap down, on the left side of the feeder tray and push it forward until it stops (as is shown in the feed window on your screen).
11. Push the On Line button on the printer. Your envelope should now print
