    Scholarships for the Pre-Professional Program for the Medical and Health Sciences


    VALUE    $400 per semester for payment of tuition, fees and books at North Harris College. This amount is renewable the following semester, provided the student remains in the program with satisfactory performance. This would total $800 per year for the fall and spring semesters.

    Criteria for Eligibility


    North Harris College Student or high school graduate of Aldine, Klein,
             or Spring ISD
     
    Enroll at North Harris College for at least 12 college credit hours for fall
            and spring semesters in the Pre-Professional Program
     
    Enroll in EDUC 1300
     
    Submit a one-page essay (requirements found on application)
     
    Meet one of the following academic criteria:
            Score at least 1100 on the SAT
            Score at least 23 composite on the ACT
            A rigorous senior year curriculum and an acceptable GPA

    Deadline for Application


    Applicants must complete the scholarship application for admission to the
    Pre-Professional Program by April 1.
