A geological history of the earth stressing fossils, stratigraphy and plate tectonics. Emphasis is placed on environments and the succession of geologic events since the origin of the earth. Labs review rocks and maps, with exercises in fossil identification, stratigraphic correlation and cross-cutting relationships. Participation in field trips is strongly recommended.
