This is an introduction to utilizing the Japanese language in business, travel and other communication needs. Emphasis is placed on the alphabet, phonics, and basic sentence structure. Strategies for learning a new language are also presented.

Japanese I, Conversation
Emphasis is on conversation while developing Japanese vocabulary and phraseology used for business, travel and other communication needs. Students purchase textbooks.

Japanese II, Conversation
This course is a continuation of Japanese conversational skills focusing on idiomatic expressions and sentence structure. Japanese I or its equivalent is a prerequisite. Students purchase textbooks.
