Foreign Language Testing/Placement Procedures
S-CAPE or F-CAPE
- Obtain a referral form from instructor. Student may go to the Counseling Office located in the Academic building room 104 to obtain the referral form but must get approval from the foreign language department located in the Academic building, room 221.
- To take the test, bring the approved referral form and a photo I.D. to the Assessment Center located in the Academic Building, room 102.
- Please allow 30 minutes for testing.
- After testing, the Assessment Center will return the referral form with the score report.
- Bring score to a language instructor located in the Academic building, room 221 or Division office located in room 217 for interpretation and placement.
- Credit will not be granted until student completes the level he/she was placed at with a passing grade.
- The student must then request a Prior Learning Assessment form to be completed by the instructor. The instructor will submit the form for approval.
