Academic Internship for Peer Writing Tutors

· This
3-credit hour English course offers weekly seminars in the writing
process plus experience working as a writing tutor in the NHC Writing
Center.
|
| ·
Pre-requisite: an A grade in English 1301 or 1302 or the recommendation
of your English teacher. Students must have been on campus for at
least one semester to register. |
|
Successful candidates will understand the writing process, have
good (not perfect) grammar skills, and enjoy working with people.
|
|
· Class
work involves selected readings, journal keeping, short papers,
grammar review, tutor observations, and actual tutoring.
|

Enrollment limited to 8 students. This course is taught fall and spring
terms only. |
