teaching background: Houston Community College, 1981-2001, French with several terms as Language Department chair and 2 years with part of my workload as reference librarian; Virginia Tech, 2 years, assistant professor of French.

other professional experience: 4 years as French translator in engineering industry.

my strengths/fresh idea/new perspective: Good at putting students at ease; will bring perspective of a teaching faculty member to the work of librarian.

i achieve balance in my life by: By listening to books on tape in my car; by dancing and swimming.
