What is Financial Aid?
Financial (monetary) assistance in the form of a:
| Grant | Money you don’t have to pay back. |
| Loan | Borrowed money you do pay back with interest. |
| Work Study | Allows you to earn money to help with school expenses. |
| Scholarship | Money awarded, based on merit,need,etc. |
HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FINANCIAL AID?
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
- Mail the application in the envelope provided, or bring it to your Financial Aid Office as soon as possible.
- Within 2-4 weeks, you will receive a Student Aid Report. Call the Financial Aid Office, 281.618.1119, and make an appointment.
- Bring your Student Aid Report, Social Security Card, 1040 Tax Form, and W2 to the appointment.
- Your friendly Financial Aid Advisor will assist you with other necessary forms, and answer any questions you may have.
- After your file is completely processed, we will send you correspondence, which will let you know if you have Pell Grant eligibility, and your award level.
The Pell Grant can be used for tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses.
