So you want to be a doctor? nurse? pharmacist? So you want to be a doctor? nurse? pharmacist? NHC offers Futures in Medicine and Health Care seminar
Representatives from more than 15 top medical and allied health schools in Texas will be at North Harris College on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2 to 6 p.m., for a free informational seminar designed to answer student questions about what it takes to prepare for and gain admission into medical and allied health schools. All medical and health care fields will be discussed including: dentistry, pharmacy, osteopathy, podiatry, nursing, optometry and more. The pre-professional program of NHC’s natural science division is hosting the event. The seminar is free and open to all area residents. As part of the North Harris College honors program, the pre-professional program for the medical and health sciences is designed to facilitate the transfer of highly motivated NHC students to senior institutions or professional schools. There are numerous advantages of the pre-professional program and North Harris College including: small classes, personal contact with professors, internships in your field of study, links to professional schools, interview preparation techniques, study skills workshops and a student support network.
