NHC offers free personal and career development workshops in February
In today’s tenuous employment atmosphere, personal and professional success requires exceptional interpersonal skills. To help the community, the North Harris College student success center is sponsoring free spring workshops. The sessions are free and offered to all area residents.
 
The February series offers a wide variety of topics designed to help you succeed at work and in life. Additionally, a few of the workshops focus on skills that will help those considering returning to college. All workshops are presented by NHC’s expert career counselors, psychologists and professors and are located in the college’s Academic and Winship buildings. The workshops include:

Feb 3:   “Just Who Do You Think You Are?…Discovering Your Personality,” 6 to 7:30 p.m.,
   room A-104.
Feb. 13: “Resume Writing,” noon to 1 p.m., room W-120.
Feb. 14: “Take Charge of Your Career Decision-Making,” 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., room A-104.
Feb. 20: “Job Interviewing Skills and Techniques,” noon to 1 p.m., room W-120.
Feb. 24: “Make it Happen! Stop Procrastinating,” noon to 1 p.m., room A-104.
Feb. 25: “Make it Happen! Stop Procrastinating,” 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., room A-104.
Feb. 26: “Time Management,” 2 to 3 p.m., room A-104.
Feb. 27: “Disability Etiquette,” 2 to 3:30 p.m., room A-104.
