A developmentally appropriate environment is the key to quality in early childhood care and development. Every aspect of the enviroment must provide comfort for the child's body, stimulation for the child's mind and aesthetics for the child's soul.
The goals of the Laboratory School supported by the Child Development and Family Studies provide the following:
quality child care services with a variety of programs
three separate children's programs:
developmental pre-school,
montessori infant & toddler, and
montessori early childhood
full time care from 3 months to 5 years of age, Monday - Friday
rooms supported by degreed and/or certified Educarers
nutritional meals & a snack, supported by the food program
an opportunity to develop concentration, coordination, independence and order
an opportunity for exploration in all interests of children
an opportunity to develop social skills with peers and adults
opportunities for positive attitude toward learning
opportunities for each child to develop his/her initiative and decision making skills
development of language skills through conversations as well as academic enhancements
Note: Other fees include a $25 registration and a semi-annual $50 supply fee. There is an additional $150 deposit. This is applied to the last month’s tuition upon a 30-day written notice when leaving the program.
A late fee of $1 will be charged to your account 6 minutes after the Lab School closes and each minute thereafter until your child is picked up.
Payment is expected by the 1st of each month. You have until the 5th of the month to pay. Should you fail to make the payment by the 5th of the month, your child will not be able to attend school on the 6th or until payment is received.
