February :
30 days after classes start we will begin to release loan checks if they are available and if the student meets the criteria at the time of release. (See Bulletin for criteria.)
March :
March 1 - If students have been awarded financial aid prior to the start of classes they should receive the remainder of their Grant award by this date.
March 31 - Last day to file for a loan if attendance was in the Fall and Spring or only in the Spring.
April :
April 1 - Priority filing date for Grants for upcoming academic year.
April 1 - First round priority filing date for NHC Scholarships.
May :
June:

Students who met the April 1 priority deadline for grants should receive an award letter or non-eligible letter for the upcoming year.
August :
If students have been awarded financial aid prior to the start of Summer classes they should receive the remainder of their Grant award by this date.

October:
October 1 - If students have been awarded financial aid prior to the start of Fall classes they should receive the remainder of their Grant award by this date.
October 1 - Second round priority filing date for NHC Scholarships.
October 1 - Priority filing date for students transferring from another institution to NHMCCD for the Spring.
October 30 - Last day to file for a loan if attending only in the Fall.
November:
Scholarships to be awarded for students who met the October 1 priority deadline.
December:
The Financial Aid Office is closed for the last two weeks of December.
Important Notes:
Note - It is the student's responsibility to make sure that their address and phone is correct with the Admissions Office.
Note - If a student is awarded financial aid after the start of classes then it will be approximately one month before the remainder of the award is mailed.
Note - If a student is registered for classes that begin later in the semester then their refund checks will not be nailed until after the last class has begun.
