Parkway Center Book Club Affair: Discussion and Book Signing
Join the North Harris College i Parkway Center Book Club for a frank discussion on relationships, love, trust, and dating alternatives. The Parkway Center Book Club will kick off part one of the discussion with the latest hot topic and book by J.L. King, “On the Down Low.” In this discussion, the group will address the signs, risks, and trust issues when dating a man on the down low. If you have read the book, watched the interviews, or would like to offer your opinion on the topic, then plan to attend this stimulating book club discussion.
In part two of the discussion, the Parkway Center Book Club will host a book signing Michelle Stimpson, author of Boaz Brown, a story that appeals to a diverse readership and will provoke intense discussion about racism and stereotypes. In her debut book, Michelle Stimpson shows how single women of all colors can have high standards while still keeping an open mind about the perfect mate.
"Many single women unexpectedly find themselves struggling through the ups and downs of dating in the ultimate search for Mr. Right. LaShondra is no exception. She wants a strong, sensitive, Godly man, like Boaz from the Bible. LaShondra gets her Boaz, but he's not exactly what she prayed for. The Parkway Center Book Club discussion and signing is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Learning Center at North Harris CollegeiParkway Center, located at 250 N.
