STEPS TO APPLY FOR GRANTS:
Complete a financial aid packet
Meet all federal, state, and institutional guidelines
Meet all database match requirements
Turn in all required documents
Respond to missing information letters ASAP
PROCESS TIME & DEADLINE DATES:
Financial aid packets are available beginning in late February for the upcoming award year (fall, spring, summer)
Normal process time is approximately 10 to 14 weeks
Priority deadline date is April 1st
Federal Pell Grant
Students must have an EFC range from 0 to 3850
Students must have a complete financial aid file
Award is based on level of enrollment on official day of record
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant – SEOG
Students must have an EFC of 0
Students must have a complete financial aid file
Award ranges from $300 to $4000 per year
Awarded to students on a first come first serve basis with priority given to those who met the priority deadline date of April 1st
Texas Public Educational Grant – TPEG
Students must have a financial need
Students must have a complete financial aid file
Awarded to students who are not eligible for the Pell Grant and who do not have a bachelor’s degree.
Award ranges from $100 to $2000 per year
Awarded to students on a first come first serve basis with priority given to those who met the priority deadline date of April 1st
