The Women's Information Network for Growth and Support (W.I.N.G.S.) is a collaborative effort of the Junior League of North Harris County, INC. (JLNCH) and North Harris College. The Program assists "women in transition" to reach new levels of achievement and self-esteem. Women in transition may be displaced homemakers, single parents, newly divorced or separated women and empty nesters ready to re-enter the workplace. The program provides volunteers who act as mentors and a space for gathering together for mutual support and networking. The JLNHC also sponsors scholarships that are awarded to participants in the program, and a Clothes Closet designed to provide outfits appropriate for job interviews, or other career related experiences.
