AUMT 1405 Intro. to Automotive Technology:

An introduction to the automotive industry including automotive history, safety practices, shop equipment and tools, vehicle subsystems, service publications, fasteners, professional responsibilities, and automotive maintenance. May be taught manufacturer specific.

AUMT 1407 Automotive Electrical Systems:

An overview of automotive electrical systems including topics in operational theory, testing, diagnosis, and repair of batteries, charging and starting systems, and electrical accessories. Emphasis on electrical schematic diagrams and service manuals. May be taught manufacturer specific

AUMT 1410 Automotive Brake Systems:

Operation and repair of drum/disc type brake systems. Emphasis on safe use of modern equipment. Topics include brake theory, diagnosis, and repair of power, manual, anti-lock brake systems, and parking brakes. May be taught manufacturer specific

AUMT 1416 Suspension and Steering:

Theory and operation of automotive suspension and steering systems including tire and wheel problem diagnosis, component repair, and alignment procedures. May be taught manufacturer specific.

AUMT 2380 Cooperative Education Auto/Automotive:

Career related activities encountered in the student's area of specialization are offered through a cooperative agreement between the college, employer, and the student. Under supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. Directly related to a technical discipline, specific learning objectives guide the student through the paid work experience.
