Library Director
Administrative director who provides leadership for all library operations including instruction, resource allocation, strategic planning, staffing, program development, and evaluation of library resources and services and for advancing the role of the library in information literacy, lifelong learning and the overall mission of the college. The position directs library operations at the main campus and two off-campus locations. The position plans for and responds to student, faculty, community and technology needs and also represents the library on campus, across the college district, in several consortia, and on District councils and committees.

The Reference/Collection Development Librarian
The Reference/Collection Development Librarian works with librarians and faculty to develop the library’s collections and coordinates the management of the collections. Position also provides reference service and teaches information literacy sessions.
North Harris College is located in the north Houston area, near the Bush Intercontinental Airport. The Library has a staff of 5 full-time librarians and 6 full-time support staff. Librarians have faculty status. The collection includes more that 160,000 items. As a Federal Depository Library, the library is one of the five college libraries in the North Harris Montgomery Community College District. Our college libraries have an innovative resource sharing partnership with two public library systems in our service area. The library has an active instruction program and enjoys strong faculty and administration support.
