IMPORTANT NOTE:Before you begin your search for reviews, determine the movie's release date or when the movie was first shown. Search the Internet Movie Database or Leonard Maltin's Movie and Video Guide in the 3rd floor Reference Collection - REF PN1992.8 .F5 L36 to find the movie's release date.

- Academic Search Complete - enter movie title and "motion picture" and "reviews" in search box (example: titanic and motion picture and reviews) - also available off-campus using your valid library card number
- New York Times Index (from 1851-1924, 1955-present)
REF AI 21 .N44 on 2nd floor Index Tables - Look up movies by year under the heading "Motion Pictures - Reviews." - ProQuest Direct - enter the movie title in the first search box and select "movie review" in box next to Article Type. If your movie is several years old, you may need to change the date range option (located below the search boxes) to backfile. (also available off-campus using your valid library card number )

REF AI 3 .R48 on 2nd floor Index Tables - Useful for movie reviews from 1900-present. NOTE: Before 1977, look up movie titles under the heading "Moving pictures - Criticisms, reviews, etc." After 1977, look up movie titles under "Motion picture reviews."
