Applications for the Associate Degree Nursing programs at NHC are available and accepted from January through March of each year. Please visit the nursing homepage in January for more information on admissions and testing periods.
Application, Checklist, and Application Procedure
- Review admission policies to determine if you meet all admission criteria.
- All transcripts from outside Lone Star College System must be received by the Admissions Department and evaluated prior to application.
- Complete the Pre-Admission checklist and application (will be available on the nursing website in January).
- Bring the completed Pre-Admission checklist and Application to the Nursing Counselor in Winship 107C by the deadline.
The Pre-Admission Reading Comprehension, Grammar and Mathematics Assessment Tests will be available again from January through February. Please check the nursing homepage in January for instructions.
The Pre-Admissions Test may only be taken one time per application period.
- Take the Pre-Admissions Examination in the NHC Assessment Center. After complete of the test, print two (2) results (one for yourself and one to be left in the Assessment Center). The Application process is now completed.
ADN applicants will be notified by mail of their status in April. No information regarding admission status will be given over the phone.
Applicants who are not placed in the class will have to reapply the following year. No waiting list is kept.
