Can I learn and earn?

North Harris College, in partnership with local HVAC-R businesses, provides co-op programs to help students develop an occupational, hands-on understanding of the area of study by actually working at the business while completing the college's degree requirements. The program allows students to receive college credit for on-the-job training and offers the student the opportunity to gain valuable work experience demanded by employers.

The co-op program consists of a minimum of 20 hours of on-the-job training and a one-hour on-campus enrichment seminar each week. The student will receive three credit hours of college credit upon successful completion.
