After review, you may request items in advance by filling out out online equipment request form.
Audiotape, videorecording and other audiovisual materials available for use in the classroom can be located by subject and/or title using the Library Catalog. Type the information in the keyword search box adding the above words in quotes as:
"child development videorecording"

Foreign language instructors should direct students to request tape duplication at the Library Circulation Desk. Students must provide their own tapes and complete an order form. Only three tapes (without plastic cases) will be accepted at a time. The Media Department will not accept certain brands of audio tapes for duplication due to their inferior quality. Please contact the Circulation Desk prior to purchasing the tapes for preferred brands.
Students may retrieve duplicated tapes at the Circulation Desk. Please allow two to three days for duplication.

The Media Department offers the following video production services:
- Off-Air Recording
It is the policy of the Media Department to conform to existing United States Copyright Law (P.L. 94 - 553) and to maintain the highest possible ethical standards in the use of copyrighted materials for instructional purposes. Tapes of television transmissions made and used for an established fair-use or evaluation period may not be kept or used beyond that period and must be erased unless licensing is arranged with the copyright owner of the material or his agent.

The Media Department offers the following audio production services:

- Duplication (If material is copyrighted , permission must be arranged with the copyright holder of the material or his agent.)
The Media Department has 35mm film for college use available for purchase by faculty, staff, and administrators . Film is processed and printed off campus. Please allow five to seven days for processing. Media Department staff are available for assisting with photography requests. Off-campus requests must be approved and scheduled in advance. Other photography services available include:
- Slide Duplication
- Duplicate Prints
- Black and White Photography
- Negatives
The Media Department is capable of downlinking C and KU Band teleconferences. Most teleconferences require a fee (pay-for-view).
NHMCCD is a member of the Community College Satellite Network (CCSN) and Starlink.
The person making the request is responsible for the cost of the teleconference and other fees. Most teleconferences permit videotaping of the broadcast for later viewing.
The Teaching Theater (A-126), Library Conference Rm. (Lib 305), and the Faculty/Staff Center (Lib 203) are available for the viewing of teleconferences and must be scheduled in advance.
