    Laptop Computer Checkout Guidelines
    Laptop computers are available for use by Faculty, Staff and Administration.
  • The user is required to pick up and return the computer.
  • Media personnel will provide basic instruction in the use of the computer if requested (i.e. how to boot the laptop, common cable configurations, troubleshooting)
  • The user is responsible for knowing how the particular software works, training can be obtained from the Faculty/Staff Center.
  • The Media Center will ensure that the equipment is in proper working condition with recent versions of NHMCCD licensed software. Downloading software to laptop is strictly prohibited. Only software licensed to NHMCCD can be installed, requires prior permission.
  • Computers will be checked upon return for all accessories, user is responsible for any missing components (power cable, phone cable, and carrying case).

  • The Media Center has one LCD projector available for use by Faculty, Staff and Administration.
  • Check out is requested not to exceed 48 hours.
  • The user is required to pick up and return the projector.
  • Media personnel will provide basic instruction in the use of the projector if requested (i.e. how to connect to a laptop, common cable configurations, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • The Media Center will ensure that the equipment is in proper working condition.
  • The LCD projector will be checked upon return for all accessories, user is responsible for any missing components (data cable, power cable, instruction manual, and carrying case).

    Usage guidelines
    • Do not look directly into the projector lens when the projector is turned on. The bright light may harm your eyes.
    • Do not block the grills on the projector. Restricting the air flow can cause it to overheat and turn off. If this happens, you must wait a minute before attempting to turn it back on.
    • Handle the projector as you would any product with glass components. Be especially careful not to drop it.
    • Avoid leaving the projector in direct sunlight or extreme cold for extended periods of time. If this happens, allow it to reach room temperature before use.
    • Never leave the equipment unattended.
