[bold]FINGERSPELLING I [/bold] [bold]Description:[/bold] This course will teach basic fingerspelling including the American manual alphabet, numbers and counting illustrated for the sign language students who desire to continue in communication. [bold]Learning Outcomes: [/bold] 1.Demonstrate the ability to converse fluently using fingerspelling from time to time while interpreting to an audience as well as informally to the deaf community. 2. Understand fingerspelled sentences and stories without mouthing. [bold]SIGN LANGUAGE I (ASL)[/bold] [bold]Description:[/bold] Use basic sign language to learn vocabulary and beginning sentence structure. Designed for those who work with persons who are deaf or who want to become interpreters. [bold]Learning Outcomes:[/bold] 1. Identify the alphabet through non-verbal communication. 2. Ask and answer information and yes/no questions.3. Use possessive forms and personal pronouns.4. Describe people, places and things. 5.Express basic directionality and classifiers. 6. [bold]SIGN LANGUAGE III (ASL)[/bold] [bold]Description:[/bold] This course is designed to expand your signing vocabulary through use of idioms and facial expressions. Identify and describe: geographical locations, leisure activities, clothes and shopping, travel and transportation, and community services. 4. Identify and use basic medical terms.5.
