Stipends are issued on a monthly basis. Students receive a $40 monthly stipend for active and regular participation in all Upward Bound program activities. In order to be eligible for a stipend, an Upward Bound student must:

• Meet tutorial hours specified for the month.
• Have no outstanding library books or textbooks.

If a student does not participate in scheduled events, workshops, activities he or she is subject to a reduction or loss of their monthly stipend.
