BASIC FLORAL DESIGN:

Fresh flowers: Learn some "Tricks of the Trade" to make a quick and simple, professional-looking arrangement. A demonstration of how to make three different designs using the same number of flowers. Students will choose one design to complete in class.
Each person brings a low-floral vase or cottage-cheese container or any similar size container; a short, sharp knife and a pair of floral scissors, if you can. Also bring 3 large, 5 medium, and 8 tiny flowers, along with greenery. These can be cut from your garden or purchased. If cost is an issue, bring an inexpensive bouquet from the grocery store. Jan Kramer is a Master Gardener through Mercer Arboretum and certified in Landscape Design through Texas A&M. As a member of the Kingwood Garden Club she frequently shares her training with members.
