CCALL 3940021 NN009: WRITING THE MEMOIR: Women writing about life:
What are the basics of getting started in writing about your life? Does it take any special skills? (Does grammar count against you?) Besides answering these questions, this 4-week workshop helps you get started, get organized and get your story—your life’s adventure—on paper. Participants will identify the important people and values that shaped their lives. Everyone will have at least one personal story by the end of each session, and a list of memories to craft into family stories. Joyce Boatright is on a one-woman mission to help women shape their lives today by crafting stories of their past. As a former journalist, public relations director and current college professor, the Houston writer has a passion for writing stories and helping others record their personal and family history. She is author of Telling Your Story: A Basic Guide to Memoir Writing.
