Business programs and courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain skills in critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving and decision-making which are essential not only in business careers but in everyday living.  Experienced faculty members have designed learning experiences that include current events, practical applications and case studies. 

Careers in business require potential employees to have skills in communication and customer service, an understanding of cultural diversity in a global economy, current technical skills and the ability to continue learning. 

The business programs foster and promote these skills in the classroom and in external opportunities such as co-operative education.

Accounting
The accounting degree will prepare students for occupations in the accounting profession.

Aviation Management
The aviation management program provides students with the opportunity to prepare for careers in airport and aviation management.

Business

Economics will prepare the students to analyze economy; national income accounting; income determination and stabilization policies.

Hospitality Management
The Lone Star College-North Harris hospitality management program provides students with an exciting opportunity to learn skills in customer service, decision-making, analysis and planning that are essential for managers and supervisors in one of the fastest growing areas of our economy: hospitality services.

Management
Studies in management will help prepare students for middle-management positions, first-line supervisors or other positions requiring leadership and decision-making skills.

Marketing
General principles of marketing will help prepare students in customer service and its relationship to consumer demographics, trends, and traditional/nontraditional retailing markets.
