Having been accepted into the program, students will complete:

• 108 clock-hours of pedagogy and professional responsibilities training;
• 48-192 clock-hours of content-specific instruction;
• 24 clock-hours of technology training;
• 20 clock-hours classroom observation in the area of certification;
• 1 year of internship (teaching in a public school);
• Pass the appropriate Pedagogy and Professional

NOTE: All candidates with a bachelor's degree seeking certification can challenge the state-required content exam. A passing score will exempt candidates from additional course work or modules. Failure to pass the exam will require individuals to complete the modules or course work approved by the college. Course Schedule The certification program is intensive, fast-tracked, and modular based. Courses will be held on evenings and weekends. Orientation and class schedules will be provided to applicants during the application process.
