Communications & Humanities - Teaching Opportunities


ADJUNCTS WANTED

The Communications and Humanities Division has a continuing need for adjunct professors in the following fields. English

Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 48 hours =$1,488 per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in English, or a Master’s Degree in another field and 18 graduate hours in English (The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requires that these courses have an Engl prefix.)

Developmental Studies
Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 48 hours =$1,488 per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications:A Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related area. For example: Reading, Composition Studies, Linguistics

English As A Second Language
Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 80 hours =$2,480 + per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related area. For example: Reading, Composition Studies, Foreign Languages, Linguistics

Philosophy
Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 48 hours =$1,488 per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Philosophy, or a Master’s Degree in another field and 18 graduate hours in Philosophy (The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requires that these courses have a Phil prefix.)

Modern Languages (Spanish, French, German)
Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 80 hours =$2,480 + per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications:A Master’s Degree in the language, or a Master’s Degree in another field and 18 graduate hours in the language (The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requires that these courses have an appropriate prefix.)

Interpreter Training
Pay:$31.00 per contact hour x (usually) 80-96 hours =$2,480 + per class.
Maximum Load (usually): Two classes
Qualifications: Associate degree in Interpreter Training (or related area), and three years work experience in the field
