APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Review admission policies to determine if you meet all admission
criteria.
- All transcripts from outside NHMCCD must be received by the Admissions
Department and evaluated prior to application.
- Complete the Pre-Admission checklist and the Paramedic to RN Transition
Program application.
- Bring the Pre-Admission checklist, the completed application form,
and $25 for the Pre-admissions Examination fee (check or money order
payable to North Harris College - no cash of credit cards accepted)
to the Nursing Advisor in Winship 160A.
- The "Authorization to Test" for the pre-entrance reading comprehension
and mathematics assessment will be issued to eligible students.
The Pre-entrance Reading Comprehension and Mathematics Assessment Tests will be available beginning January, 2004.
- Take the Pre-entrance Test. After completion of the test, print two results (one for yourself and one for your Admissions Evaluation Packet). The Application process is now completed.
Paramedic to RN Transition Program applicants will be notified by mail of their status in April. No information regarding admission status will be given over the phone.
Applicants who are not placed in the class will have to reapply the following year. No waiting list is kept.
