NHC Planning & Technology

Planning & Technology
The Technology and Planning Division at North Harris College consists of the Information Technology Services department and Research and Planning. It is our goal to provide the computing resources necessary to support the academic mission of North Harris College.

We are proud to support the needs of over 11,000 students, 1,000 faculty and staff, and close to 3,000 computers in an advanced data network environment.

We serve the college through planning, recommending, purchasing, installing, and maintaining technology systems to support instruction directly and also those departments who are in a supporting role. The Information Technology Services department is involved with instructional computer labs, office computing, web services, information systems, interactive television, distance learning, telecommunications systems, and user training and development.

Technology for Students
The heart of North Harris College’s technology offering is our new Digital Technology Center (DTEC) which has over 400 high-end computers in teaching and departmental labs.
