Paralegal Studies
The program’s primary goal is to educate students for successful careers as legal assistants working under the supervision of lawyers in the public and private sectors by providing an in-depth curriculum that emphasizes substantive knowledge and practical skills. Paralegal skills, the ability to interact and function efficiently and professionally in the legal services environment, and an appreciation for the special demands of the legal profession are elements of the program. Our goal is to partner with area law firms and organizations to provide internship and employment opportunities for paralegal students responsive to community needs. Our program will produce successful legal assistants who exercise a high level of expertise, ethics, and professional responsibility and who are lifelong learners with the ability to adapt to the changing legal environment.
